Qualification

• Candidates should have passed the Madhyamik Examination from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent.
• The applicant must be able to speak, read and write the Bengali language.

Physical Measurement

Constable (Male): 

Candidates of all categories: 167 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 57 Weight (in kg.), 78 cms Chest (without expansion), 83 cms Chest (with expansion – 5 cms.)

Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 160 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 53 Weight (in kg.), 76 cms Chest (without expansion), 81 cms Chest (with expansion – 5 cms.)

Constable (Female): 

Candidates of all categories: 160 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 49 Weight (in kg.)

Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 152 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 45 Weight (in kg.)

Third Gender : 

Candidates of all categories: 163 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 52 Weight (in kg.)

Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis and Scheduled Tribes: 155 (Height (Barefoot) (in cm.)), 48 Weight (in kg.)

Physical  Efficiency Test (PET) 

Male Candidates: 1600 (sixteen hundred) meters Run Within 6 (six) minutes 30 (thirty) seconds

Female Candidates: 800 (eight hundred) meters. Run Within 4 (four) minutes

Third Gender Candidates: 800 (eight hundred) meters. Run Within 3 (three) minutes 30 seconds.

 The Ex-servicemen above 35 years of age

Male Candidates: 800 (eight hundred) meters. Run  Within 3 (three) minutes 30 (thirty) seconds.
