✅ Age Limit:
Junior Secretariat Assistant: 28 years
Junior Stenographer: 27 years
Age relaxation as per Govt. rules, There is no age limit for department candidates.
✅ Monthly Salary:
Junior Secretariat Assistant: Pay Level-2, ₹ 35180/- per month.
Junior Stenographer: Pay Level-4, ₹ 25500 – 81100/- per month.
✅ Eligibility Criteria:
Junior Secretariat Assistant:
(1) Minimum 10+2 / Matric + 12th Class Pass or its equivalent.
(2) Proficiency in Computer Typing Speed of 35 w.p.m in English or 30 w.p.m in Hindi.
Junior Stenographer:
(1) Minimum 10+2 / Matric + 12th Class Pass or its equivalent.
(2) Proficiency in Stenography as per prescribed norms fixed by DOPT from time to time (Dictation at the speed of 80 w.p.m. for 10 minutes in English / Hindi).

✔️ Junior Secretariat Assistant: Written Test and Typing Test
✔️ Junior Stenographer: Written Test and Stenography Test
✅ Application Fee:
✔️ ₹ 500/- for General / OBC / EWS Category Candidates.
✔️ No fee for SC / ST / PwBD / ESM / Women / CSIR Employees Category Candidates.
✔️ The fee in the form of a Demand Draft drawn on any nationalized bank and valid for at least 3 months in favour of “Director, CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat” payable at Jorhat.
✅ How to Apply:
➢ Eligible and Interested candidates are required to submit an online application form through the NEIST Recruitment Portal. The candidates have to register themselves with a valid email ID before applying and after registering themselves. The last date for registration of online applications is 14/02/2025.
➢ After applying online, the candidates have to send a hard copy of print out of application form along with one recent passport size (self-signed photograph), application fee (DD) and requisite documents addressed to:-
