CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), Lucknow, invites online applications from talented and result-oriented Indian Nationals for 04 posts of Junior Stenographer. The Candidates must fill Online Application Form through IITR Official website between 07/05/2025 (5:00 PM) and 31/05/2025 (5:00 PM). The CSIR IITR, a constituent laboratory of Council of Scientific and industrial Research (CSIR), which is an autonomous organization under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.

✅ Eligibility Criteria:

✔️ Age Limit (as on 31/05/2025):

Maximum 27 years (minimum 18 years).
The Age Relaxation – SC: 5 years relaxation (32 years), OBC: 3 years relaxation (30 years), PwBD: 10 years (15 years for SC, 13 years for OBC), Widows/Divorced Women (not remarried): Up to 35 years (40 years for SC), -Servicemen: As per GoI/CSIR rules.

✔️ Educational Qualifications:

10+2 (Matriculation with 12th Class) / XII Pass or equivalent with proficiency in Stenography (English or Hindi) as per DoPT/CSIR norms.

✅ Selection Process:

✔️ Written Test: OMR/Computer-based MCQ exam (200 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours; 2 hours 40 minutes for scribe-eligible candidates). Negative marking: 0.25 per wrong answer.
– Part I: Mental Ability & Reasoning (50 questions, 50 marks).
– Part II: General Awareness (50 questions, 50 marks).
– Part III: English Language & Comprehension (100 questions, 100 marks).
✔️ Proficiency Test in Stenography (Qualifying): Dictation at 80 wpm for 10 minutes; transcription time: English (50 min, 70 min for scribe), Hindi (65 min, 90 min for scribe).
✔️ Final merit based on Written Test scores for those qualifying the Proficiency Test. Tie-breaking: (a) fewer negative marks, (b) older age, (c) earlier acquisition of qualification, (d) alphabetical order of first names.
✔️ Test centre: Lucknow.
