Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) Notification of Military Doctor Jobs for MBBS Indian Citizens for the recruitment of SSC Officers. Online applications are invited for the post of Short Service Commission Medical Officer in AFMS from Indian citizens, both male and female, who have passed their final MBBS examination in no more than 2 attempts and have appeared NEET PG Entrance Examination. ✅ AFMS Medical Officer Age Limit 2025: (As on 31/12/2025)
✔️ Candidate must not have attained the age of 30 years if holding an MBBS / PG Diploma.
✔️ 35 years if holding a PG Degree.
✅ AFMS Medical Officer Salary 2025:
Medical Doctors commissioned in the Armed Forces Medical Services will be granted the rank of Captain (or equivalent rank in Navy/Air Force) at Level 10B of the Defence Pay Matrix. The compensation includes BP ₹ 61,300 + MSP ₹ 15,500 + HRA (based on city category: X, Y, Z) + NPA at current rates + Transport Allowance ₹ 3,600-7,200 (based on city category) + Dress Allowance ₹ 20,000 annually, and Dearness Allowance as per current rates.
✅ AFMS Medical Officer Eligibility Criteria 2025:
(1) The applicant must possess a medical qualification included in the National Medical Commission Act 2019.
(2) The applicant must have permanent registration from any State Medical Council/ MCI / NMC.
(3) Postgraduate Degree/ Diploma holders recognised by the State Medical Council/ MCI/ NBE/ NMC may also apply.
(4) Only those candidates who have completed their internship on or before 31st March 2025 can apply.
✅ AFMS Medical Officer Selection Process 2025:
✔️ Shortlisting: Based on NEET PG Entrance Examination Marks.
✔️ Interview: Eligible candidates will be invited for an interview by a Board of Officers in June 2025 at the Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi Cantt, to assess their suitability and merit for grant of Short Service Commission in the Armed Forces Medical Services.
✔️ Physical & Medical Standards: After qualifying in the interview, each candidate must undergo a Special Medical Examination Board (SMB) convened by DGAFMS to assess their medical fitness according to established standards.
✔️ Merit List: All candidates who pass the interview (scoring at least 50%) will undergo a medical examination immediately following the interview.

An amount of ₹ 200/- is payable online only. The required payment should be made at the end of the application submission through online payment methods (internet banking, credit card, or debit card).
✅ How to Apply AFMS Medical Officer Recruitment 2025:
Eligible Candidates should apply online through the AMC SSC Entry Portal (join.afms.gov.in).
The candidates are required to fill in basic details and upload the following relevant documents:-
(1) Passport Size Photograph.
(2) Scanned copy of class X (Matriculation) Certificate/Birth Certificate issued by Municipal Corporation as proof of date of birth.
(3) A scanned copy of the Final MBBS Part I & II attempt certificate.
(4) A scanned copy of the Internship completion certificate.
(5) A scanned copy of the NEET PG entrance exam results sheet/ score card.
