RRC ECR Recruitment 2023 Notification Out:
RAILWAY RECRUITMENT CELL(RRC) EAST CENTRAL RAILWAY (ECR) has opened applications for 1832 Apprentice positions across multiple trades under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Eligible candidates meeting the educational criteria outlined in the notification can apply online via the official website before December 09, 2023.
RRC ECR Recruitment 2023- Eligibility Criteria:
RRC ECR Recruitment 2023 – Educational Qualification
- The candidate must have passed Matric/10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate, from recognized Board and ITI in relevant trade (i.e National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training or Provisional Certificate issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training).
RRC ECR Recruitment 2023 – Age Limit
- The candidates should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 01.01.2023.
The upper age limit is relaxable for following specified categories to the extent indicated below:
- By 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST communities.
- By 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC communities.
- For Persons with Benchmark Disabilities(PwBD) -10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC and years for SC/ST candidates.
- Relaxation for Ex-servicemen in the age will be total Military service plus 3 years subject to completion of at least six months regular attested service.
RRC ECR Recruitment 2023 – Application Fee:
- Application fees (Non-refundable) – Rs. 100/-
- The payment can be made by using Debit/Credit card or Internet Banking etc. by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
- On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt with the date entered by the candidate will be generated which should be printed and retained by the candidate.
- If the online transaction is not successfully completed, please login again and make payment online.
RRC ECR Recruitment 2023 – Selection Process:
The selection process for Apprenticeship training will be based on a merit list created for candidates applying against the notification for a specific Division/Unit. The merit list will be compiled by averaging the percentage marks obtained in both Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI examination, giving equal weightage to both.
- The percentage calculation for matriculation will consider marks obtained in all subjects, rather than specific subjects or groups.
- In the event of two candidates having the same marks, preference will be given to the candidate with the older age. If the dates of birth are identical, priority will be given to the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier.
Verification Process and Further Steps
- Candidates finally enlisted for Apprenticeship Training will undergo a verification process of their original documents. Additionally, they must pass the appropriate medical examination to confirm their fitness for the training program.

- Upon the submission of the online application, each applicant will receive a unique Registration number. Candidates are strongly advised to retain or note down their Registration Number for future stages of the recruitment process or any correspondence with RRC.

Candidates are required to upload the legible scanned copy of the following documents:
- SSC (Standard 10th) or its equivalent Marks Sheet. Certificate for proof of Date of Birth ((Standard 10th or its equivalent Marks Sheet or School Leaving Certificate indicating Date of Birth).
- Consolidated Marks Sheet of ITI for all semesters of the trade in which applied/ Provisional National Trade Certificate indicating marks
