Indian Army NCC Special Entry Vacancy 2024:

NCC Men: General Category – 45 Posts, Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army personnel – 05 Posts.
NCC Women: General Category – 04 Posts, Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army personnel – 01 Post.

Indian Army NCC Special Entry 2024 Age Limit:

✔️ For National Cadet Corps (NCC) candidates (including wards of Battle Casualties) – Minimum 19 years and Maximum 25 years as of 01 July 2024.
✔️ Born not earlier than 02 Jul 1999 and not later than 01 Jul 2005; both dates inclusive.
✔️ Age Relaxation as per rules.

Eligibility Criteria for NCC Special Entry:

✔️ For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders:

(1) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks, considering marks of all the years/ semesters.
(2) Those studying in their final year can also apply, provided they have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the first two/three years. Such students will need to secure an overall aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks if selected in an interview, failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
(3) Service in NCC – Should have served for at least two academic years in NCC’s senior Division/ Wing.
(4) Grading – Should have obtained a minimum of a ‘B’ Grade in the ‘C’ Certificate Exam of NCC.

✔️ For Ward of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel:

(1) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent with an aggregate of a minimum of 50% marks, considering marks of all the years/ semesters.
(2) NCC ‘C’ Certificate not required.

NCC Special Entry Physical Standards:

(a) Height and Weight – The minimum acceptable height is 157.5 cm with co-related weight; for female candidates, it is 152 cm and 42 kg. For candidates belonging to the North East and Hilly Areas like Gorkhas, Nepalese, Assamese and Garhwalis, the height is relaxed by 5 cm and weight commensurate with reduced height. In the case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum acceptable height is reduced by 2 cm.
(b) Visual Standards – For male candidates, distance Vision (Corrected), better eye 6/6 and worse eye 6/18. Myopia should not exceed -3.5D, and hypermetropia should not exceed +3.5D, including Astigmatism.

NCC Special Entry Selection Process:

(a) Shortlisting of Applications – Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) reserves the right to fix the cutoff percentage of marks for shortlisting applications without assigning any reason. After application shortlisting, the Centre allotment will be intimated to the candidate via email. After allotment of the Selection Centre, candidates must log in to the website and select their SSB dates on a first-come, first-served basis, up to a specified date, as notified on the website.
(b) Only shortlisted eligible candidates will undergo SSB at Selection Centres, Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bangalore (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (PB). Respective Selection Centre will issue a call-up letter for SSB interviews on candidates’ registered e-mail ID and SMS only. Allotment of the Selection Centre is at the discretion of the Directorate General of Recruiting, IHQ of MoD (Army), and no change request will be entertained.
(c) Candidates will be put through a two-stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in stage I will be returned on the same day. The duration of SSB interviews is five days, and details are available on the Indian Army’s official website. This will be followed by a medical examination for candidates recommended after Stage II.
(d) Candidates recommended by the SSB and declared medically fit will be issued a joining letter for training in the order of merit, depending on the number of vacancies available.

➢ Eligible candidates are required to apply online through the Join Indian Army official website, www.joinindianarmy.nic.in -> Click on ‘Officer Entry Application/Login’ and then click ‘Registration’ from 8th January 2024
➢ The candidates must enter all required details and upload the required self-attested documents.
