Madhav Institute of Technology & Science (MITS), Gwalior, a Deemed University, a government-aided autonomous institute, invites applications from eligible candidates for regular positions of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor in Computer Science & Allied Emerging Areas and Humanities, and contractual positions of Professor of Practice and Student Counsellor. Applications must be submitted offline by 16th June 2025, 4:00 p.m. as per MITS-DU norms.

✅ Age Limit (as on 16.06.2025):

– Not specified; candidates to check detailed advertisement/notification for age criteria, if any.
– Note: Candidates with a third child after 26/01/2001 are ineligible.

✅ Educational Qualifications and Experience:

✔️ Professor (Computer Science & Allied Areas):

– Ph.D. in relevant field (AI, Data Science, ML, CS/Engg/Tech, IT, Robotics, IoT) with First Class at B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech.
– 16 years teaching/research/industry experience (4 years as Associate Professor equivalent); 2 years relaxation for Post-Doctoral Fellowship.
– 10 SCI/Scopus/Web of Science publications (6 as Associate Professor), 2 Ph.Ds supervised, 1 externally funded project (≥₹5 Lakhs).

✔️ Associate Professor (Computer Science & Allied Areas):

– Ph.D. in relevant field with First Class at B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech.
– 8 years teaching/research/industry experience (2 years post-Ph.d).
– 6 SCI/Scopus/Web of Science publications; desirable: 1 Ph.D. supervised, 1 research project.

✔️ Assistant Professor (Computer Science & Allied Areas):

– Ph.D. in relevant field with First Class at B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech.
– 2 SCI/Scopus/Web of Science publications.

✔️ Professor (Humanities):

– Ph.D. in relevant field with First Class at Bachelor’s/Master’s; 55% marks at Master’s.
– 2 publications in peer-reviewed/indexed journals; desirable: NET/SLET/SET.
– Experience and research requirements as per AICTE/UGC norms.

✔️ Associate/Assistant Professor (Humanities):

– Same as Professor (Humanities); specific publication/experience requirements per AICTE/UGC.

✔️ Professor of Practice:

– Distinguished industry experts with 15 years’ senior-level experience in AI/Data Science/ML/Robotics/Iot.

✔️ Student Counsellor:

– Master’s in Counselling/Psychology/Clinical Psychology/Sociology/Social Work (55% marks) or equivalent.
– NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. (per UGC 2009/2016 norms); Ph.D. exemptions for pre-2009 candidates with 2 refereed journal papers, 2 conference presentations.

✅ Selection Process:

✔️ Shortlisting: Based on qualifications, experience, publications, and research contributions.
✔️ Written Test: May be conducted for Professor/ Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor/ Student Counsellor if applications are numerous; schedule on the MITS website.
✔️ Interview: Shortlisted candidates invited for personal/ technical interview.
✔️ Document Verification: Original certificates (educational, experience, DOB, Aadhaar, PAN, caste, PH, publications, projects, Ph.D. supervision, NOC) required at interview.

✅ Application Fee:

✔️ For General/OBC/EWS: ₹ 2,950/-.
✔️ For SC/ST (MP Domicile): ₹ 1,770/-.
✔️ Payable via Demand Draft (non-refundable) in favour of “Director, Madhav Institute of Technology & Science, Gwalior.” Refundable via RTGS/NEFT if the advertisement is cancelled due to insufficient applications.
