The Indian Railways released a preliminary notification for 5696 Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies across all Railway Recruitment Boards in the Employment News Paper on January 20, 2024. The registration window for RRB ALP 2024 opened on January 20, 2024, and the last date to apply on February 19, 2024. The initial selection will be made through a Computer-based Test.

Increase Railway ALP Vacancy 2024: [5696 to 16373]
On January 20th, 2024, under Twitter trends (रेलवे भर्ती, Increase RRB ALP Vacancy), job seekers are advocating for an increase in Indian Railway Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies. Age Limit:
✔️ Minimum 18 years
✔️ Maximum 30 years

✔️ The Upper Age relaxation – 05 years for SC / ST, 03 years for OBC (NCL) and others as per rules.
Educational Qualifications:
(1) Candidates must have either Matriculation/ SSLC plus ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/ SCVT in the following trades: Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/ Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic. Alternatively, Matriculation/ SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the mentioned trades is also accepted.
(2) Another option is Matriculation/SSLC plus a three-year Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering or a combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognized institution instead of ITI.
(3) Note: A degree in the mentioned Engineering disciplines will also be acceptable instead of a Diploma in Engineering.

How to Apply for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Vacancy 2024:
- Eligible candidates can apply to only one Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), and only one online application has to be submitted. Candidates must first ‘Create an Account’ for this CEN through the link on the Official RRB Website.
- The Candidates must have an active personal mobile number and a valid email ID for receiving OTPs for Account Verification and Creation. After creating an account, candidates should log in to apply for RRB ALP 2024 through any RRB portals.
- The Candidates must upload a scanned copy of a recent clear colour passport-size photograph, signature, SC/ST certificate, etc. Afterwards, candidates must pay the application fee online mode.
- After the final submission of the online application, candidates can edit or correct their details during the Modification Window from 20/02/2024 to 29/02/2024.
