Deputy Superintending Archaeological Chemist: 35 years for URs, 38 years for OBCs and 40 years for SCs.
Deputy Superintending Archaeologist: 35 years for URs/EWSs, 38 years for OBCs, 40 years for SCs/STs and 45 years for PwBDs.
Civil Hydrographic Officer: 30 years for URs, 35 years for STs and 40 years for PwBDs.
Specialist Grade III: 40 years for URs/EWSs, 43 years for OBCs, 45 years for SCs and 50 years for PwBDs.
Deputy Central Intelligence Officer: 35 years for URs/EWSs and 40 years for SCs/STs.
Assistant Director: 30 years for URs/EWSs, 33 years for OBCs and 40 years for PwBDs.
Engineer & Ship Surveyor-cum-Deputy Director General: 50 years for URs.
Training Officer: 30 years for URs/EWS, 35 years for SCs and 40 years for PWDs.
Assistant Professor: 50 years for URs
Educational Qualifications:
Deputy Superintending Archaeological Chemist: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry + 03 years experience (OR) Master’s Degree in Chemistry + 01 year experience.
Deputy Superintending Archaeologist: Master’s Degree in Archaeology or Master degree in Indian History (with Ancient Indian History or Medieval Indian History as a subject or paper) or Master degree in Anthropology (with stone-age Archaeology as a subject or paper) or Master degree in Geology (with Pleistocene Geology as a subject or paper). Postgraduate or Advanced Diploma in Archaeology. Field experience of at least three years in Archaeology.
Civil Hydrographic officer: Degree in Engineering in Civil or Computer Science or Information Technology or Masters Degree in Mathematics or Geography or Geophysics or Computer Applications or Computer Science or Informational Technology. Minimum 02 years experience.
Specialist Grade III: A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). At least 03 years of teaching experience.
Deputy Central Intelligence Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E. or B.Tech) or B.Sc (Engg) in the fields of Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Electronics and
Telecommunication or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Technology or Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology or Software Engineering (OR) AMIE (OR) Master of Science in Physics with Electronics or Telecommunications (OR) MCA.
Assistant Director: Master’s Degree / Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline.
Engineer & Ship Surveyor-cum-Deputy Director General: Certificate of competency of Marine Engineer Officer Class-I (Steam or Motor or Combined Steam and Motor) as specified in section 78 of the Merchant Shipping Act, 1958 (44 of 1958) or equivalent as specified in section 86 of the said Act. 05 Years’ service at Sea of which One year service as Chief Engineer or Second Engineer.
Training Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technology (OR) Diploma in Engineering or Technology.
Assistant Professor: Basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical
Register or Indian Medical Register. Master Chirurgiae (M. CH. Urology) or DNB (Urology) or equivalent from a recognized University/Medical College/ Teaching Institution. Minimum 03 years of teaching experience.
✅ Selection Process:
The UPSC selection is based on interviews. If the number of applications is high, the UPSC Commission will conduct a written examination to shortlist applicants for the interview. The date for the interview, on which shortlisted candidates are required to bring a printout of their online application along with other documents to UPSC, shall be intimated separately.

Candidates must upload the documents/certificates supporting all the claims made in the application, such as Date of Birth, Experience (preferably in the prescribed format), Desirable Qualification(s), etc., or any other information, separately against each claim in a PDF file. The file size should not exceed 1 MB for the respective modules and 2 MB for the “UPLOAD OTHER DOCUMENT” module and must be legible when printed.
➢ Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.
