UPSC Advertisement No.11/2024 Notification for 82 Posts: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites Online Recruitment Applications (ORA) for the recruitment of Deputy Superintending Archaeologist and Cabin Safety Inspector posts in the Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Civil Aviation department. Eligible candidates should apply online through the UPSC ORA Portal at upsconline.nic.in starting from 17th August 2024. The closing date for registration of online applications is 5th September 2024.

Age Limit:

Deputy Superintending Archaeologist: 35 years for URs/EWSs, 38 years for OBCs, 40 years for SCs/STs and 45 years for PwBDs.
Cabin Safety Inspector: 40 years for URs/EWSs, 43 years for OBCs, 45 years for SCs/STs and 50 years for PwBDs.

Pay Scales:

Deputy Superintending Archaeologist: Level-10
Cabin Safety Inspector: Level-11

Eligibility Criteria:

Deputy Superintending Archaeologist:

(1) Master’s degree in Archaeology or Master’s degree in Indian History (with Ancient Indian History or Medieval Indian History as a subject or paper) or Master degree in Anthropology (with stone-age Archaeology as a subject or paper) or Master’s degree in Geology (with Pleistocene Geology as a subject or paper) from a recognized University or Institute.
(2) Postgraduate or Advanced Diploma in Archaeology of a duration of at least one year from a recognized University or Institute Or Field experience of at least three years in Archaeology.

Cabin Safety Inspector:

(1) Bachelor’s Degree from a recognised University or institute.
(2) At least one year experience as a Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) approved Safety and Emergency Procedure (SEP) Instructor.

Selection Process:

UPSC selection is interview-based, but if applications are high, a written exam may be conducted to shortlist candidates. The interview date and document submission details will be communicated separately.

Application Fee:

(a) Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using the net banking facility of any bank or by using Visa/ Master /Rupay/ Credit/ Debit Card/ UPI payment.
(b) No fee for SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women candidates of any community.

How to Apply UPSC Recruitment 2024 (Advt No. 11/2024):

➢ Eligible Indian candidates must apply online via the official website www.upsconline.nic.in from 17th August 2024.

➢ Applicants are required to upload supporting documents/certificates for all claims made in the application, such as Date of Birth, Experience (preferably in the prescribed format), Desirable Qualifications, and any other relevant information. Each document should be uploaded separately in PDF format, with a maximum file size of 1 MB for specific modules and 2 MB for the “UPLOAD OTHER DOCUMENT” module. All files must be legible when printed.

➢ Candidates intending to apply for multiple posts must submit separate applications for each post and pay the corresponding fee for each one.

➢ Upon submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), candidates should print a copy of the final submitted ORA for their records.

➢ The last date for submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) is 23:59 hrs on 05/09/2024. The last date to print the completed online application is 23:59 hrs on 06/09/2024.
